The High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction is the largest fundraising event for the High Museum of Art, the leading art museum in the southeastern United States. Netting over $1.9 million in 2012, the Wine Auction is the top charity fundraising event in Atlanta, the fifth largest charity wine auction in the U.S., and the number one charity wine auction benefiting the arts. The Wine Auction has generated more than $20 million over the last 20 years! Proceeds from the Auction are a vital part of the Museum’s exhibition and education plan, helping to make possible special exhibitions such as Fast Forward: Modern Moments 1913 >> 2013, a continuation of our multi-year collaboration with The Museum of Modern Art, New York and Frida & Diego: Passion, Politics and Painting opening February 2013. The funds raised also provided educational programming drawing over 90,000 school kids already this year. |
